"One can almost hear the crunch of the snow under the shoes of the man and the boy and feel the cool mountain airbrushing over their faces. With the play between cold and warm colors created by the lantern light, Fink creates a wonderfully sensual scene, which in the center represents the common walk home. The lantern forms a counterpart to the starry sky illuminated by the moon and brings the viewer back into the here and now."
